VIA CELEBRATION
September 6 & 7, 2024: Linda and I are inviting you to a Via Affirmativa Regional Celebration in Kansas City, Missouri!
When and Why: Friday the 6th at a location TBD at 7pm to meet each other, share our stories and consider a biblical view of, "Why Beauty?"
The Museum: Saturday we will meet around 11 am at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art near the Plaza district of KC to explore and experience a worldclass gallery of modern art and an extensive Impressionist collection.
Lunch will be on our own and could be enjoyed in the gallery's Renaissance inspired cafeteria.
Saturday Meal Together: The gallery closes at 5 pm and we will meet at the social room of the Crestwood Condominiums in Brookside, a few blocks south of the Plaza. We will bring in classic local barbeque to dine together, and explore what we experienced that day, what we are pursuing as creatives, and the ways we can work together to do good in our communities.
Lodging: Choose available nearby (see below) the Plaza or with friends in the KC area.
Cost: Your cost would be transportation, lodging and meals except the barbecue we will provide Saturday evening. The Museum is free, but parking is $14.
Our Purpose: Please join us to get to know other creatives, learn and be stimulated by other expressions of art, and enjoy a small part of the Beauty of Kansas City. Invite anyone you feel might enjoy this experience.
